Woodard & Curran
Task 2.3-Pump Specifications for Procurement
Woodard & Curran will provide a pump specification for the City's pre-procurement of pre-package
pump station. This information will include pre-package lift station design parameters, and a
performance specification that will be used to procure equipment necessary for the system. This will
include pumps, valves and enclosures. Up to 4 Pre-package pump station manufacturers will be
contacted.
Task 2.4-Preliminary Technical Memorandum(Basis of Design)
Woodard& Curran will provide a technical memorandum summarizing the design approach for the pre-
package booster pump station and FI pipeline. This will include preliminary pump station siting and
waterline alignment routing options along Stoneridge drive. This document will service as a basis of
design for the 60%design plans. A workshop will be conducted ahead of submittal to discuss its contents
and any comments received from the basis of design technical memorandum will be incorporated into the
60%, 90% and final contract documents (no final TM will be provided). The efforts included in the
development of the preliminary design technical memorandum include but are not limited to the
following:
• Coordination with Akel Engineering Group for hydraulic conditions and constraints
• Pump station hydraulic calculations
• Structural requirements for anchorage of pre-package enclosures or structures
• Site visits for the team
• Preliminary cost estimates
• Pipeline alignment corridor options and recommendations
• Summary of utility research
• Electrical load requirements
Task 2 Deliverables:
- Technical Design Memorandum in PDF and Native electronic format.
- Vendor information and cut sheets
- Preliminary Cost Estimate
- Pipeline alignment cross section options
Task 2 Assumptions:
- Contact with jurisdictional agencies is assumed to be provided by the City.
- Zone 7 coordination will be included to determine standards and conditions to which new turnout
will be constructed.
- Technical memorandum will be provided in memo format at 15-25 pages in length with
supporting materials.
- Hydraulic modeling of the system is provided by AEG(not included in scope of work).
4
