all traffic shall be permitted to pass through the work area. Contractor shall <br /> furnish, erect, and maintain sufficient warning and directional signs, safety cones, <br /> sign boards, barricades, and lights, and furnish sufficient flaggers to always give <br /> adequate warning to the public that the road or street is under construction. As <br /> prescribed by the Department of Transportation Manual on Uniform Traffic <br /> Control Devices (MUTCD) for traffic control. <br /> G. Work involving single-lane closures on major arterials, including Foothill Road, <br /> Hopyard Road, Santa Rita Road, Bernal Avenue, Sunol Boulevard, First Street, <br /> Stanley Boulevard, Vineyard Avenue, Stoneridge Drive, Stoneridge Mall Road, <br /> Hacienda Drive, Valley Avenue, and Owens Drive, will be restricted to 9:30 am to <br /> 3:00 pm. Pedestrian and driveway access must be maintained at all times. <br /> DISPOSAL & HAULING OF UNWANTED MATERIALS <br /> Contractor will be responsible for the disposal and hauling away any poles that have <br /> been designated for replacement, including traffic accident knock downs, request for <br /> replacement, routine replacement, or project-based pole replacements at no additional <br /> cost to the city. <br /> NEW STREETLIGHT, PARKING LOT LIGHT & PATHWAY LIGHT INSTALLATIONS <br /> Contractor shall maintain any additional streetlights, parking lot, and pathway lights, as <br /> they are installed and added to the overall inventory or become a part of the <br /> maintenance requirements of the City or Hacienda Business Park at no additional costs <br /> to the City. <br /> WARRANTY SERVICE <br /> During the period of warranty, Contractor is expected to make all communications <br /> between manufacturer, installing contractor, and the City's staff regarding any warranty <br /> service. Contractor shall notify the City Staff of any undue delays in response by the <br /> manufacturer or installation contractor and details of each incident. <br /> SCHEDULED PROJECT WORK <br /> Non-routine scheduled project work where Contractor submits a quotation to the City will <br /> be compensated on a time and materials, should Contractor discover that the cost of time <br /> and materials, will exceed the quoted amount by 120%, Contractor must notify and <br /> provide additional information for the reason of the excess cost to the City's staff who will <br /> review and provide authorization to continue said project. <br /> TRAFFIC CONTROL <br /> Contractor is required to provide all safety cones, sign boards, arrow boards, and other <br /> appropriate measures and equipment as prescribed by the Department of <br /> Transportation Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) for traffic control <br /> at no additional costs to the City. <br />
