damages, in the amount of$100 per day late to arrive. This amount is to be deducted <br /> from any payment due, or to become due to the Contractor. <br /> • Routine maintenance shall include the service or replacement of internal <br /> components: lenses, gaskets, reflectors, ballasts, igniters, sockets, and all integral <br /> parts of the light fixture that have failed through normal deterioration, with either a <br /> like item or selected upgrade to ensure the roadways and public facilities are <br /> properly illuminated. <br /> • Replace lamps that have become inoperative by virtue of burnout. <br /> Replacement lamps shall be equivalent to those replaced. <br /> • Replace photoelectric cells that have become inoperative from normal <br /> deterioration. <br /> • Maintain and submit a monthly log for all night checks including but not <br /> limited to the date of visit and location of the outage or other problem. <br /> DOCUMENTATION <br /> Contractor shall furnish complete documentation pertaining to lights worked on by <br /> Contractor for the month period. These will be filled out by Contractor on a monthly basis <br /> and contain at a minimum when the service call was received by Contractor, the pole <br /> number of the light worked on, the address or location of the pole, what repair work was <br /> completed, and what parts were used. The report shall also identify any lights that <br /> required one or more return service calls to complete the repair and restore proper <br /> operation and recommend to the City additional work that is needed and not covered in <br /> the Routine Maintenance Program. The report containing all the information shall be <br /> furnished to the Operations Services Superintendent with the monthly invoice. Contractor <br /> shall provide list of recommended poles for painting and ultrasonic testing. <br /> MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS <br /> A. Contractor shall keep a large stock of common replacement components of a <br /> typical streetlight, parking lot light and pathway light installation in the City. <br /> B. Contractor shall offer alternatives to existing equipment to meet the changing <br /> demand as it occurs, when directed by City. <br /> C. Contractor shall be responsible for proper disposal of all waste generated as a <br /> result of performing work for the City. <br /> D. Contractor shall review traffic control restrictions that may impact the allowable <br /> working hours in a given area. <br /> E. Contractor shall be allowed to use the City's Operations Service Center (OSC) at <br /> 3333 Busch Road, Pleasanton, for material storage. Prior to use, approval must <br /> be granted by the Operations Superintendent. <br /> F. Contractor shall conduct its operations so as to cause the least possible <br /> obstruction and inconvenience to public traffic. To the greatest extent possible, <br />
