These comments and concerns have not been included/addressed in the June 3, 2023 policy
proposal.
Why does the new proposed policy not establish standards and limits to noise issues?
Why were there not opportunities for public comment/meetings during the planning of this new
policy? Will this be the standard procedure with future airport issues/planning?
Many Bay Area-wide small airports have established standards for planes in reference to
approved flight altitude, why does Livermore not establish such standards in this proposed
policy?
Where are the standards on the size of planes that will be allowed to use this airport as the
airport staff continues to encourage expansion?
Where are the air pollution standards in this policy and what are they for the airport? Many small
airports have moved to lead free fuel in an effort to reduce pollution for their communities.
The March 23, 2010 resolution established by the Livermore City Council has been ignored in the
development of this new proposed plan in areas such as defining planned growth.
There seems to be great concerns and standards about garbage cans and flag poles and landscape—
but the real issues (noise, safety, air pollutions are avoided. Why is this the case as they have
serious impacts on everyone living in the Tri-Valley?
Misinformation abounds regarding the FAA with statements like the airport has FAA approval and
it is a done deal.
The fact is the FAA does want to hear from the public in surrounding areas.
We live in the Pleasanton and as cities within the valley we regularly work together to create
policy for a healthy and prosperous Tri-Valley. We hope that the City of Livermore in developing
this policy, will include safety standards and environmental protections so that the airport will be
successful and supported by all.
2
