*safe water without PFAS or fear of contamination
*Streets and roads that flow so citizens can get to work, school or for pleasure
*Utilities that we do not experience blackouts. (As the demand increases as 6,000 more dwellings are built--
there will be a greater demand.)
*affordable housing
* safety provided by the police and fire departments.
For today and for the next two years, Pleasanton does NOT need to spend $6.5MM for a skate park or
$4.8MM for a dilapidated lodge that has not been in use for the last 9 years and does NOT reflect its
original heritage. These two items represent 5% of the City's total budget. Negotiations with the police is
still ongoing. Let's plan for today AND tomorrow! Police and Fire Departments at full staff are a must.
You need to set your priorities for the betterment of the City as a whole with the needs and demands for
safety, health and well-being of your citizens. Retracting pass commitments when circumstances change
shows integrity to your commitment to ALL residents of Pleasanton; shows wisdom to do what is right,
and take responsibility to adjust to our changing times. It is not flip flopping. It is making the right decision
with fresh information.
Respectfully,
Harriet Fong
Sent from the all new AOL app for Android
2
