As a Pleasanton taxpayer,for the last 33 years, I am appalled at this situation. I <br /> understand police departments are having a tough time across the nation; however, most of these shortages occur in areas <br /> that do not collect the property tax revenue that Pleasanton real estate provides. <br /> I see many projects that are on the books that DO NOT need to be done at this time. To name a few: a 10+ million dollar <br /> skate park. The renovation of the Century House. Ridiculous curb renovations on streets where no disabled person would <br /> want to walk or ride. Bike lane painting that could be put on hold and many other non-essential projects. <br /> 1 <br />
