The City’s Building and Safety Division provides field inspections of all <br />structures to ensure safe, healthy, accessible, and sustainable buildings that comply with local <br />and state laws; enforces the City’s Municipal Code, current building codes, state mandated <br />energy conservation, disabled access, and housing laws; and serves as a resource for <br />homeowners, businesses, contractors, and designers 19 . The City will implement programs to <br />address substandard housing conditions, including continued building and housing code <br />enforcement programs and seeking funding for rehabilitation and maintenance assistance for <br />lower-income housing (Programs 3.4 and 3.5). <br /> <br /> <br />19 http://www.cityofpleasantonca.gov/gov/depts/cd/building/default.asp
