Generally, there is limited data on the extent of substandard housing issues in a community. However, the Census Bureau data included in the graph below gives a sense of some of the substandard conditions that may be present in Pleasanton. For example, 2.0 percent of renters in Pleasanton reported lacking a kitchen and no renters lack plumbing, compared to 0.2 percent of owners who lack a kitchen and 0.2 percent of owners who lack plumbing.
