Bike racks shall be clearly visible from a nd located w ithin I 00 feet of the main <br />entry door. If the project has multip le e ntries , bicycle racks sha ll be proportionall y dispersed. <br />A 7 .11 A minimum of two Class 2 short term public bicycle spaces shall be provided for every 5,000 <br />sq uare feet of retail space. Bike racks shall be c learly vis ibl e a nd located within 50 feet of retail <br />entries. <br />Single Family Tract Development <br />Single Fami ly Homes and Primary Structures of Multiple Sing le Fam il y Developme nt o n the same <br />parce l shall comply with the following standards: <br />A 7 .12 Individual garage doors shall be provi d ed for each stall of a m ul t ipl e stall garage fronting a <br />Public Street or Internal Street. <br />A 7.13 Carports shall be limited to the rear yard <br />A 7 .13 The storage of recreational vehicles shall be completely screened from view from the public <br />rig ht of way and shall be lim ited to a paved area in the rear yard <br />A 7 .14 Where a garage or designated surface parking for guests is located within 25 feet of a Public <br />Street fro ntage, such parki ng sha ll be screened from the Pu bli c Street by the combination of <br />a. A minimum seven-foot-wide planting strip ; <br />b. A low fence not to exceed four feet in height; and <br />c . Trees planted at an average spacing of20 feet on center, a dense hedge, or ornamental <br />grasses. <br />A 7.15 Court homes (e .g."Six Packs" and similarly configured un its) and alley accessed Townhomes <br />shall be organized so that streets are fronted by homes a nd their main e ntries an d not rear yards. <br />Courts homes shall be configured with entries on the pe rimeter and the auto court in the <br />interior. <br />Design Guidelines <br />Multifamily Development <br />A 7 .a If C lass I bicycle parking is provided withi n a mixed-use or multifamily build ing, the applicant <br />is e ncouraged to configure the bicycle parking area as an amenity space with attractive and <br />easi ly cleana bl e floor and wall surfaces. <br />A 7.b B icycle parking racks should comply w ith the Association of Pedestrian and Bicycle <br />Professionals (APB P) Bicyc le Parking Gu idelines . <br />Single Family Tract Development <br />A 7.c Garages, driveways, and guest parking should be located in the side or rear yard to the extent <br />feasible, residential parking facing pub l ic streets is strong ly d iscouraged . <br />City of Pleasanton -36 -DRAFT: January 4, 2023
