The contractor will be responsible for removing and replacing any and all pool covers at the time <br /> of service. The City Council has adopted an ordinance requiring the pools to be covered anytime <br /> they are not in use. <br /> Pump Room & Chemical Storage Cleaning—Daily and Weekly <br /> The Contractor shall keep all chemical storage areas free from leaves and debris daily. They <br /> must keep both pump rooms clean and dust free for all mechanical equipment which includes: <br /> pumps, motors, boilers,and sand filters on a weekly basis. <br /> Chemical Dosing—Daily <br /> The contractor shall make all corrections to the pool chemistry daily and when the pool is not <br /> scheduled for use. Under no circumstances shall chemicals (other than chemicals administered <br /> by the pool automation) be added to the pool with swimmers in the water. <br /> All pools shall be maintained at the levels described in the Operations Logbook(see attachment <br /> II)and at no time will be outside of the required parameters. <br /> The contractor shall be responsible to ensure all chemicals are always ordered and in stock to <br /> service the pools. Stocking levels will be based on the Support Services Best Practices. <br /> The City of Pleasanton will bear the cost of all chemicals and reagents for the operation of the <br /> pools and test kits. <br /> Rounds — Daily and Weekly <br /> The contractor will be responsible and conduct the"rounds"every day. The rounds are to be <br /> scheduled one time daily at 5 am seven days a week. <br /> The Operations Logbook is the guide for recording all aspects of pool operations. Pool <br /> chemistry, chemical inventory, chemical dosing, heater temps, flowrate, pressures, failsafe tests <br /> and Langlier results are recorded daily. <br /> Weekly, a water sample from each pool will be taken to the City of Pleasanton Water Laboratory <br /> for bacteriological testing. <br /> Inspection of all three pool gutters for debris and leaves along with removal shall be done daily. <br /> A visual inspection of the water slide shall be conducted during the rounds on a daily basis and <br /> any defects shall be noted in the Logbook and shall be reported immediately to the Support <br /> Services Division. <br /> The strainer baskets will be inspected daily. <br /> *If basket(s) need to be removed for cleaning a clean set must be swapped out and installed <br /> on a as needed basis this will be charged at an hourly basis under as needed services.The <br />
