Municipal Code Chapter 9.23 <br />includes measures to reduce the amount of <br />organic and recyclable materials deposited in <br />landfills from commercial and residential <br />generators. In addition, the CALGreen Code <br />also requires minimum 65 percent diversion of <br />construction and demolition waste from <br />landfills. Municipal Code Chapter 9.21 requires <br />builders to prepare a waste management plan, <br />including the estimated quantity of materials <br />to be salvaged and recycled, which ensures <br />compliance with the CALGreen Code. <br />Water Resources <br />Strategy WR-1.
