Exercise caution when opening attachments or <br /> clicking links, especially from unknown senders. *** <br /> Dear Mayor Brown and City Council Members, <br /> As a previous Library and Human Services commissio,ger I was concerned about the upcoming review by the City Council <br /> and how the Council's decisions would impact the structure of the City's Committees and Commissions. I am also <br /> concerned about how autonomous the commissions would be if the commission meetings are restructured to possibly <br /> condense the group meetings and how that would impact the effectiveness of the Commissions to give input on the City <br /> Council's priorities list and advocate for their specific group's needs and the group's charter under the City's General <br /> Plan. <br /> I understand the need to periodically restructure of any redundancy and those committees that are not serving the <br /> community as originally intended, however condensing some commissions for efficiency sake may have unintended <br /> consequences. <br /> From my understanding, individual member's role on commissions and committees is to gain information from staff, <br /> consultants and the public on how to support the areas under their purview and give input to the Council regarding the <br /> issues brought forth in their individual Commission meetings. <br /> 1 <br />
