• At about 11 minutes 49 seconds of the December 15th mtg., I heard that the "Mall 2.0" needs to be, "a
place to go in Pleasanton." In my opinion, if there's an abundance of traffic congestion and a
frustrating wait time through the signal lights, people might visit once or twice but will seek different
destination experiences. Placing the amount of housing which matches the traffic report's
recommendations probably will assure the Mall 2.0's success as a "place to go in Pleasanton."
• At 3 hours 36 minutes, a council member's comment was, "If we weren't being constrained by traffic
concerns", the reality is that we are.
• At 3 hours 45 minutes, a different council member's comment was that the considerations will have
"no impact on the current residents". Disagree. As the area becomes more congested, people will use
Springdale and Foothill Rd. Traffic will have a significant impact on the future residents, current
residents, as well as anyone traveling through and around the Stoneridge area.
Thanks for your attention, and I hope I am not too naive to think that our council will represent our
neighborhood too in deciding that the 1,440 housing units including the density bonus is thoughtful,
responsible, intelligent growth which is in the best interest for this area and thus for the rest of Pleasanton.
Respectfully,
Pattie Hall
Click here to report this email as spam.
2
