Nicole Rodriguez
From: Ellen Holmgren
Sent: Monday, January 23, 2023 5:28 PM
To: tricia allainna hall; Mayor and City Council
Cc: Pleasanton City Clerk; Ellen Clark; Pamela Ott; Melinda Denis; Shweta Bonn
Subject: RE: Stoneridge Mall Framework
Dear Pattie Hall,
Thank you for your email regarding Item 1 on the on the Special Meeting Notice and Agenda for Thursday, Jan.
26, 2023.
This email acknowledges receipt of your email to the Mayor and City Council, the City Manager, and City staff.
Thank you for your interest in the City of Pleasanton.
Regards,
Ellen Holmgren, Administrative Assistant
City of Pleasanton
From:tricia allainna hall
Sent: Sunday,January 22, 2023 9:12 PM
To: Mayor and City Council<citycouncil@cityofpleasantonca.gov>
Subject:Stoneridge Mall Framework
You don't often get email from earn why this is important
Thank you for your responsibility for representing the residents of Pleasanton as well as the future residents in
your position as a city council member.
I support the 1,440-unit number including the density bonus for these reasons:
• The framework goal includes, "A plan in the best interests of Pleasanton" ..."as an entity" from the Dec.
15th meeting (timestamp 5 minutes 57 seconds)
1, 440 units including bonus allows this neighborhood area to contribute its fair share to Pleasanton as
an entity. Other areas being considered can also contribute keeping the city balanced rather than
placing a high concentration of the required housing in one spot making the entity, or unit, lopsided.
(Just as balancing the amount of housing around the mall seemed like a workable concept for the
owners)
• The 1,440-unit number including density bonus correlates with the Traffic Analysis Report. The
decision to work with pre-covid models was reasonable and to second guess Michael Tassano, an
expert, because possibly the findings weren't desirable, is unwise. If the project is successful in
creating a destination experience, then, we should easily reach the 2019 traffic model numbers.
1
