Authorize the City Manager to purchase police radios and related communications equipment and <br /> software to meet current California Department of Justice Requirements from Motorola Solutions <br /> in the amount of$800,827 <br /> Recommendation: Approve expenditure and authorize the City Manager to purchase 118 portable <br /> police radios and related equipment, and necessary supporting software for the 118 portable <br /> police radios, 68 mobile police radios and 6 consolettes, estimated at $800,827 from Motorola <br /> Solutions to meet security requirements and bring the police radios into compliance with the FBI <br /> Criminal Justice Information Services Security Policy, and align all portable and mobile <br /> communication equipment similarly. <br /> Mayor Brown opened the public hearing.
