DRAFT Redlines <br /> Housing Element Section 4B <br /> 1. Prepare and distribute standardized and/or pre-approved building plans for ADUs that <br /> meet the requirements of Chapter 18.106 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code <br /> (Accessory and Junior Accessory Dwelling Units) and the California Building <br /> Standards Code. The City will publicize such building plans to interested persons <br /> inquiring or applying for an ADU, and incentives provided, such as reduction of permit <br /> fees, for applicants wishing to make use of such pre-approved plans. <br /> 2. Create and maintain informational materials and an ADU resource webpage on the <br /> City's website to publicize and promote the availability of standard building plans; post <br /> information about available funding for ADUs (e.g., CaIHFA ADU Grant Program that <br /> provides up to $25,000 to reimburse homeowners for predevelopment costs). <br /> Materials will be made available through multiple outreach methods in addition to the <br /> City website, press releases, utility mailers, email distribution lists, social media, <br /> community service groups, etc.) and in multiple languages. <br /> • Responsible Agency: Planning Division, Building and Safety Division <br /> • Time Period: Prepare standard building plan and informational materials by first <br /> quarterMarch 2024; create ADU resource webpage by April 2024 <br /> • Funding Source: Planning Division Budget, Building and Safety Division Budget, Housing <br /> Division Budget <br /> • Quantified Objective: Prepare or approve four types of ADU standard plans; see Program <br /> 1.8 <br /> Program 1.10 <br /> • Complete annexation of the housing sites located in unincorporated Alameda County(i.e., <br /> Lester and Merritt rezone parcels). If the annexations cannot be completed within three <br /> years,the City will identify and rezone additional sites to address the City's RHNA shortfall. <br /> These parcels will also be rezoned consistent with Program 1.1. Responsible Agency: <br /> Planning Division <br /> • Time Period: Complete annexations by January 31, 2026 <br /> • Funding Source: Planning Division Budget, developer funds <br /> Goal 2: Use a range of tools and methods to facilitate housing production, <br /> reflecting a range of housing types, sizes, affordability levels, and tenure, and <br /> provide access to housing opportunities that meet the diverse needs of the <br /> community. <br /> Policies <br />
