Councilmember Arkin presented the commendation to Samyukta. <br /> 12. Presentation of a proclamation recognizing August as Muslim American Awareness and <br /> Appreciation Month <br /> Councilmember Arkin presented the proclamation. Humera Nawaz with Muslim Community <br /> Center of the East Bay received the proclamation. <br /> 13. Presentation by East Bay Community Energy (EBCE) on Local Development Funds and <br /> Programs <br /> J.P. Ross, Vice President of Local Development with EBCE, provided a presentation. <br /> 14. Public Comment regarding items not listed on the agenda — Speakers are limited to 3 minutes. <br /> Mayor Brown opened the public comment. The following individual provided comment: Jocelyn <br /> Combs. Mayor Brown closed public comment. <br /> PUBLIC HEARINGS AND OTHER MATTERS <br /> 15. Reconsideration of regional recycled water fill station agreement <br /> Recommendation: Reconsider Pleasanton's continued participation in the regional agreement for <br /> a recycled water fill station to be located at 5997 Parkside Drive and provide direction to City staff <br /> regarding next steps. <br /> Community Development Director Ellen Clark and Interim Director of Operations and Water <br /> Utilities Tamara Baptista presented the item. <br /> Mayor Brown opened the public hearing. The following individuals provided comment: <br /> Gregory Swartz, Dave Clayton, Kash Yajnik, Jane Bowen, Rick Schussel, Lynn Kriegbaum, Dave <br /> Moselle, Brian Cullen, Roy Smith, Mary Smith, Susan Schall, Larry Kriegbaum, Stephen Jones, <br /> Jeff Rockwood, Paul Mercurio, Christine Sagan, Kim Reed, Joan Tenbrink, John Bauer, Kathleen <br /> Jones, Richard. <br /> Mayor Brown closed the public hearing. <br /> MOTION: It was m/s by Testa/Arkin to rescind approval of the agreement to place a water refill <br /> station at the Parkside Drive location and continue discussions with DSRSD on alternate locations <br /> and mitigation plan. Motion passed by the following vote: <br /> Ayes: Councilmembers Arkin, Balch, Narum, Testa, Mayor Brown <br /> Noes: None <br /> Absent: None <br /> Mayor Brown recessed the meeting at 9:35 p.m. and reconvened the meeting at 9:43 p.m. <br /> 16. Review and discuss Century House Master Plan <br /> Recommendation: Review and approve the selected site plan option and floor option as <br /> recommended by the Parks and Recreation Commission and provide direction to staff to draft and <br /> bring forward for consideration a final Century House Master Plan. <br /> City Council Minutes Page 4 of 5 August 16. 2022 <br />
