Labels shall clearly indicate items that are the primary Prohibited Container 2232 <br />Contaminants for each Container. The labeling shall be positioned on each Container so it is visible 2233 <br />to the Customer at all times. 2234 <br /> All Containers shall prominently display the Contractor’s name and phone number in paint or on an 2235 <br />adhesive label. 2236 <br /> Such labeling of Containers shall be completed within one year of the Commencement Date. 2237 <br />B. Colors. Contractor shall provide all Customers with Collection Containers that comply with the 2238 <br />Container color requirements specified in this Section, or as otherwise specified in 14 CCR Section 2239 <br />18982; 14 CCR, Division 7, Chapter 12, Article 3; or other Applicable Law. Colors shall be colorfast 2240 <br />and resistant to fading as a result of weathering or ultraviolet degradation. The lids and bodies shall 2241 <br />be uniform for each Container type, as follows: 2242 <br />1. Carts. Solid Waste Carts shall have black bodies and black lids; Recyclable Materials Carts shall 2243 <br />have black bodies and blue lids; and, Organic Materials Carts shall have black bodies and green 2244 <br />lids. 2245 <br />2. Bins. Solid Waste Bins shall have white bodies and black lids, Recyclable Materials Bins shall 2246 <br />have white bodies and blue lids, and Organic Materials Bins shall have white bodies and green 2247 <br />lids. 2248 <br />3. Drop Boxes. Solid Waste Drop Boxes shall have gray bodies; Recyclable Materials Drop Boxes 2249 <br />shall have blue bodies; and, Organic Materials Drop Boxes shall have green bodies. 2250 <br />4. C&D Containers. Containers for Collection of C&D may be in any color, provided that the colors 2251 <br />do not conflict with the Container color requirements of this Section and provided that the C&D 2252 <br />Container colors are consistent for all C&D Containers. The C&D Container color shall be 2253 <br />proposed by the Contractor and reviewed and approved by the City Contract Manager prior to 2254 <br />Contractor’s procurement of such Containers. Containers used for Source Separated Collection 2255 <br />of C&D materials at a Customer’s location will have a label indicating the allowable materials 2256 <br />and most common Prohibited Container Contaminants for the material types Collected. 2257 <br />5. Hardware. Hardware such as hinges and wheels on the Containers may be a different color than 2258 <br />specified above. 2259 <br />C. Timing and Approval. On and after January 1, 2022, all new and replacement Containers shall 2260 <br />comply with the color and labeling requirements of this Section. Notwithstanding this Section, the 2261 <br />Contractor is not required to replace functional Containers, including Containers purchased prior to 2262 <br />January 1, 2022, that do not comply with the color requirements of this Section prior to the end of 2263 <br />the useful life of those Containers, or prior to January 1, 2036, whichever comes first. Contractor 2264 <br />shall obtain written approval from the City on the proposed Container colors and labeling prior to 2265 <br />procuring or distributing new or replacement Containers. 2266
