Containers shall have bodies and lids in uniform colors that differentiate the different 2211 material types to be Collected, in accordance with Section 5.16.7, and such plans shall be approved by the 2212 City. On and after January 1, 2022, all new or replacement Containers shall comply with the color and 2213 labeling requirements of Section 5.16.7. Notwithstanding this Section, the Contractor is not required to 2214 replace functional Containers, including Containers purchased prior to January 1, 2022, that do not comply 2215 with the color requirements of Section 5.16.7 prior to the end of the useful life of those Containers, or 2216 prior to January 1, 2036, whichever comes first. 2217 As described in Section 5.4.1.C, the kitchen pail shall be made of rigid plastic, and have a capacity of 1.5 2218 to 2.5 gallons, a wire or plastic handle, and a lid. Contractor must submit kitchen pail order (including 2219 material and design specifications, colors, and identification marks) to City for City’s written approval prior 2220 to submitting the order to the manufacturer. 2221 5.16.6 Container Sizes 2222 Below is a table that summarizes the Container size specifications.
