Collection Services <br /> Franchise Agreement with Pleasanton Garbage Service <br /> <br />City of Pleasanton Page 39 June 7, 2022 <br />5.7 Construction and Demolition Debris Collection 1325 <br />Contractor shall offer and provide Construction and Demolition Debris (C&D) Collection services to any 1326 <br />Customer requesting such service, in a manner which promotes the Customer’s ability to achieve 1327 <br />compliance with the C&D Diversion requirements identified in the City Municipal Code. C&D Collection 1328 <br />service shall be a temporary service, provided only at sites where construction, alteration, remodeling, 1329 <br />repair, or demolition operations are being performed. Contractor shall Collect C&D from Customers that 1330 <br />have requested C&D Collection service as frequently as scheduled by Customer up to six (6) days per week, 1331 <br />but not less than one (1) day per week. Contractor shall provide Drop Boxes for C&D storage and 1332 <br />Collection and shall place Drop Boxes in locations determined by the Customer or construction site 1333 <br />manager. Contractor shall require that all Customers receiving C&D Collection service under this 1334 <br />Agreement are provided a Container for non-C&D Solid Waste. 1335 <br />Contractor shall work with the Customer to provide Collection services that result in a minimum of ninety 1336 <br />percent (90%) of Portland cement concrete and asphalt concrete, and at least seventy-five percent (75%) 1337 <br />of the remaining C&D being Diverted (except as otherwise provided in the City Municipal Code), taking 1338 <br />into account only C&D projects where Contractor Collects all materials. Contractor Billings shall be at the 1339 <br />City-approved Rates for such service. 1340 <br />Contractor shall Transport all C&D Collected under this Agreement to the Approved C&D Processing Site 1341 <br />for Processing. Contractor shall pay all tipping fees and other costs associated with Transporting, 1342 <br />Processing, and/or Disposal of C&D. 1343 <br />Contractor shall observe and comply with all regulations in effect at the Approved C&D Processing Site 1344 <br />and cooperate with and take direction from the operator thereof with respect to delivery of C&D. 1345 <br />5.8 Abandoned Waste Collection 1346 <br />Contractor shall Collect Solid Waste and Bulky Items abandoned by Generators in the City. Contractor 1347 <br />shall dispatch a truck to Collect abandoned materials at locations in the City identified by Contractor or at 1348 <br />locations identified by the City. In instances when the Contractor has received verbal or written request 1349 <br />from the City to Collect abandoned waste at a specific location, Contractor shall Collect abandoned waste 1350 <br />from such location within forty-eight (48) hours of receiving the verbal or written request unless special 1351 <br />circumstances warrant a longer period, in which case Contractor shall notify the City of such circumstances 1352 <br />and the need for additional time to Collect materials within twenty-four (24) hours of the City’s verbal or 1353 <br />written notice to Collect abandoned waste. Contractor shall be responsible for Collection, Transportation, 1354 <br />and Disposal of such material. Contractor shall record the date, time, location, and description of material 1355 <br />Collected including estimated volume of such material; location where such material was Disposed; and 1356 <br />cost of Disposal. Copies of receipts from the Approved Disposal Site for Disposal of abandoned Solid 1357 <br />Waste shall be made available by Contractor upon request by the City. 1358 <br />5.9 Transfer Station Drop-Off Service 1359 <br />5.9.1 Community Drop-off Events 1360 <br />Contractor shall arrange and provide one (1) drop-off event per calendar year at the Approved Transfer 1361 <br />Site, wherein City residents may drop-off up to up to seven (7) cubic yards of Yard Trimmings at no charge 1362
