Collection Services <br /> Franchise Agreement with Pleasanton Garbage Service <br /> <br />City of Pleasanton Page 38 June 7, 2022 <br />5.5.2 Large Events and Venues 1288 <br />Contractor shall offer Solid Waste, Recyclable Materials, and Organic Materials Collection services for all 1289 <br />events (e.g., fairs, festivals, etc.) and venues in the City. Contractor shall provide the service to Customers 1290 <br />at City-approved Rates on the Rate Schedule in Exhibit G. 1291 <br />Contractor shall also provide the Solid Waste, Recyclable Materials, and Organic Materials Collection 1292 <br />services to all the City-sponsored events each calendar year. Contractor shall provide Collection to the 1293 <br />City-sponsored events and any additional special events at City-approved Rates on the Rate Schedule in 1294 <br />Exhibit G. 1295 <br />Large venues requiring regularly scheduled Collection services shall be serviced as Commercial Customers 1296 <br />and offered the full range of Commercial Collection services described in this Agreement at City-approved 1297 <br />Rates on the Rate schedule in Exhibit G. 1298 <br />For large events and venues with periodic Collection needs, Contractor shall provide Solid Waste, 1299 <br />Recyclable Materials, and Organic Materials service as requested by the event or venue organizer. 1300 <br />Services provided by Contractor shall include delivery of Collection Containers prior to the 1301 <br />Commencement of the event and removal of Collection Containers at the end of the event. Contractor 1302 <br />shall provide staff during events to: (i) maintain and empty Collection Containers, (ii) provide outreach, 1303 <br />(iii) coordinate with event organizers and other event participants and volunteers, and (iv) collect data for 1304 <br />reporting purposes. 1305 <br />Contractor shall make available Carts, Bins, and Drop Boxes. The number and size of Containers shall be 1306 <br />sufficient to allow convenient Collection of Solid Waste, Recyclable Materials, and Organic Materials for 1307 <br />event participants. If the event coordinator determines that additional Containers are necessary, 1308 <br />Contractor shall promptly deliver the requested number of additional Containers. Carts provided shall be 1309 <br />equipped with special lids with drop in slots that minimize contamination of Recyclable and Organic 1310 <br />Materials. Contractor shall arrange the Container delivery and pick-up schedule with the event organizer. 1311 <br />All Solid Waste, Recyclable Materials, and Organic Materials Collected from events and venues shall be 1312 <br />delivered to the Approved Facility as appropriate. 1313 <br />Contractor shall work cooperatively with events and venues that are classified as Large Events and Large 1314 <br />Venues by AB 2176 to assist such events and venues in complying with requirements of AB 2176. 1315 <br />Contractor shall assist Large Events and Venues organizers in meeting AB 2176 requirements by offering 1316 <br />Recyclable Materials and Organic Materials Collection services at no cost to the Customer. 1317 <br />5.6 Provision of Service to Schools 1318 <br />If a public or private school requests Solid Waste, Recyclable Materials, or Organic Materials Collection 1319 <br />services, Contractor shall provide such services in accordance with the Collection requirements pursuant 1320 <br />to Sections 5.2.5, 5.3.3, and 5.4.2. Contractor shall charge the school at Rates that do not exceed the City-1321 <br />approved Rates for Commercial Customers on the Rate schedule in Exhibit G. At the Contractor’s option, 1322 <br />the Contractor may require that the school enter into a service agreement with a commitment to 1323 <br />subscribe to Collection service for a minimum of six (6) months. 1324
