Collection Services <br /> Franchise Agreement with Pleasanton Garbage Service <br /> <br />City of Pleasanton Page 31 June 7, 2022 <br />5.2.5 Commercial Solid Waste Collection Service 1023 <br />Contractor shall Collect Solid Waste from Commercial Premises as frequently as scheduled by the 1024 <br />Customer, up to six (6) times per week but not less than once per week. Contractor shall offer Commercial 1025 <br />Premises the option of subscribing to Cart, Bin, Drop Box, or Compactor service. Contractor shall Collect 1026 <br />Solid Waste from Containers at a location selected by the Customer and approved by the City. 1027 <br />Contractor shall allow each Commercial Customer to select a Collection service methodology that best 1028 <br />suits the needs of its Premises. Specifically, the Contractor shall offer the following Collection service 1029 <br />methodologies to Commercial Customers: 1030 <br />A. Individual Cart or Bin Service. Contractor shall allow each Commercial Premises to use Carts or Bins 1031 <br />for Solid Waste Collection. Contractor shall provide each Customer with a choice of one (1) or more 1032 <br />Carts with capacities of thirty-five (35) or ninety-six (96) gallons (or similar sizes approved by the 1033 <br />City) or Bins with capacities ranging from one (1) to seven (7) cubic yards (or similar sizes approved 1034 <br />by the City). 1035 <br />B. Centralized Bin or Cart Service. Contractor shall allow each Commercial Premises to use Carts or 1036 <br />Bins for Solid Waste Collection that are shared by the Occupants of two (2) or more adjacent 1037 <br />Commercial Premises. In such case, Contractor shall provide one (1) or more Carts or Bins as 1038 <br />requested by Customer(s) provided that no less than ninety-six (96) gallons (or similar volume) of 1039 <br />Container capacity is provided for every four (4) Commercial Premises. Contractor shall provide 1040 <br />each Customer with a choice of one (1) or more Carts with capacities ranging from thirty-five (35) 1041 <br />to ninety-six (96) gallons (or similar sizes approved by the City) or Bins with capacities ranging from 1042 <br />one (1) to seven (7) cubic yards (or similar sizes approved by the City). 1043 <br />C. Drop Boxes and Large Compactors. Contractor shall allow a Customer to use a Drop Box or 1044 <br />Compactor with a roll-off Compactor Container for Solid Waste Collection to meet the Customer’s 1045 <br />Solid Waste Collection needs. In such case, Contractor shall provide Customer with a choice of 1046 <br />Container capacities ranging from six (6) to fifty (50) cubic yards (or similar sizes approved by the 1047 <br />City). Contractor shall offer Customers the option to purchase or lease Compactors through either 1048 <br />the Contractor or an outside vendor. 1049 <br />Contractor shall open and close gates, push and/or pull Containers, lock and unlock Containers, or perform 1050 <br />other services as reasonably necessary to access and empty the Containers and shall not charge 1051 <br />Customers an additional fee for such services. 1052 <br />5.2.6 Bin Rental Service 1053 <br />Contractor shall offer rentals of four (4) cubic-yard Bins to all Customers for Solid Waste Collection only 1054 <br />on a temporary basis when Customers are remodeling, cleaning their property, or performing other 1055 <br />projects. Contractor shall charge Customers for this service in accordance with City-approved Rates on 1056 <br />the Rate schedule in Exhibit G. 1057
