Collection Services <br /> Franchise Agreement with Pleasanton Garbage Service <br /> <br />City of Pleasanton Page 30 June 7, 2022 <br />Reuse Vendor(s) may include clothing, toys, house wares, linens, wood furniture, tables, chairs, 986 <br />working computers, undamaged monitors, cell phones, books, working small Appliances, working 987 <br />VCRs and working stereos. Materials that are not desired by the Reuse Vendor(s) shall be 988 <br />Transported by Contractor to the Approved Disposal Site, Approved Recyclable Materials Processing 989 <br />Site, or Approved Organic Materials Processing Site. 990 <br />F. Handling Major Appliances. Major Appliances shall be reused, Recycled, or Disposed by Contractor 991 <br />in accordance with requirements of Applicable Law. 992 <br />5.2.3 Multi-Family Solid Waste Collection Service 993 <br />Contractor shall Collect Solid Waste from Multi-Family Premises as frequently as scheduled by the 994 <br />Customer, up to six (6) times per week but not less than once per week. Contractor shall offer Multi-Family 995 <br />Premises the option of subscribing to Cart, Bin, Drop Box, or Compactor service. Contractor shall Collect 996 <br />Solid Waste from Containers at a location selected by the Customer and approved by the City. 997 <br />Contractor shall open and close gates, push and/or pull Containers, lock and unlock Containers, or perform 998 <br />other services as reasonably necessary to access and empty the Containers and shall not charge 999 <br />Customers an additional fees for such services. 1000 <br />5.2.4 Multi-Family On-Call Bulky Item and Clean-Up Service 1001 <br />Contractor shall provide Multi-Family Customers with up to three (3) on-call clean-up services per year, 1002 <br />plus one (1) additional on-call clean-up event per every ten (10) dwelling units, per complex at no 1003 <br />additional cost. This service shall be provided in the same manner as that described for Single-Family 1004 <br />Customers in Section 5.2.2 with the following exceptions: 1005 <br />A. The Multi-Family Customer or property manager shall arrange the service with the Contractor. 1006 <br />Tenants of the Multi-Family Premises may not arrange the service. Service shall not be provided to 1007 <br />individual Residential units but to the Multi-Family complex. 1008 <br />B. Contractor shall provide clean-up services Monday through Friday except on Holidays. The 1009 <br />Contractor shall provide the service to the Customer within seven (7) Business Days of the 1010 <br />Customer’s request on a day agreed to by the Customer and Contractor. Contractor may provide 1011 <br />additional on-call clean-up service for a Customer beyond three (3) per year, and in such case shall 1012 <br />be entitled to charge the Customer for such service at the City-approved Rate on the Rate schedule 1013 <br />in Exhibit G. 1014 <br />C. During each on-call clean-up event, the Multi-Family Customer may Deliver Curbside, and 1015 <br />Contractor shall accept for Collection: up to five (5) cubic yards of Bulky Items, Solid Waste, 1016 <br />Recyclable Materials, and/or Yard Trimmings. For purposes of this service a couch and a 1017 <br />combination box springs and mattress shall each equal 3 cubic yards. Contractor shall arrange the 1018 <br />dates of delivery and pick-up of the Bin, as applicable, with the Customer or property manager and 1019 <br />shall pick-up the Bin within seven (7) calendar days of the original date of delivery. 1020 <br />D. Appliances shall be Collected as part of the service only if the Customer or property manager pays 1021 <br />an additional fee at the City-approved Rate on the Rate schedule in Exhibit G. 1022
