<br />dioxide and other simpler organic compounds. 421
<br />1.88 “Rate” means the dollar unit to be charged a Customer by Contractor for providing Solid Waste 422
<br />Collection, Transportation, and Disposal, Recyclable Materials and Organic Materials Collection, 423
<br />Transportation, and Processing services, and other related additional services. A Rate has been 424
<br />established for each individual Service Level and extra service, and the initial Rates for Rate Period 425
<br />One are presented in Exhibit F. 426
<br />1.89 "Rate Period" means a twelve (12) month period, commencing July 1 and concluding June 30. 427
<br />1.90 “Rate Review and Performance Review Fee” means the fee paid by Contractor to City to offset 428
<br />costs of contracting with a consultant in order to review the Contractor Rate adjustment application 429
<br />pursuant to Section 8.3 and conduct a review of Contractor’s performance pursuant to Section 6.14. 430
<br />1.91 "Recyclable Materials or Recyclables" means newspaper, cardboard, mixed color paper, white 431
<br />paper, junk mail, magazines, telephone books, paper bags, cereal and food boxes, egg cartons, plastic 432
<br />bottles and containers labeled #1-7, plastic milk containers, detergent containers, clear, brown, and 433
<br />green food and beverage container glass, cans of aluminum, steel, tin, food cans, empty aerosol cans, 434
<br />pipe tins or other materials having economic value contained within a load of Recyclable Materials 435
<br />which have been separated from Solid Waste and Organic Materials prior to Collection, and may also 436
<br />include any other type of Recyclable waste material agreed on by the Parties. 437
<br />1.92 "Recycling" means the process of sorting, cleansing, treating, and reconstituting Recyclable 438
<br />Materials at a Processing Site and returning such materials to the economic mainstream in the form 439
<br />of raw materials for new, reused, or reconstituted products. Recycling does not include 440
<br />Transformation as defined in the Public Resources Code Section 40201. 441
<br />1.93 "Related Party Entity" means any Affiliate which has financial transactions with Contractor 442
<br />pertaining to this Agreement that has been approved by the City. For the purposes of this Agreement, 443
<br />PGS has identified the following Related Party Entities: Pleasanton Truck & Equipment Repairs, Inc., 444
<br />Recycling and Resource Recovery Systems, LLC, City Automatic Recycling, Inc., Amador Valley 445
<br />Industries, LLC, M&M Land Company, LLC, and Southfront, LLC. 446
<br />1.94 “Renewable Natural Gas (or RNG)” means gas derived from Organic Waste that has been Diverted 447
<br />from a landfill and Processed at an in-vessel digestion facility that is permitted or otherwise authorized 448
<br />by 14 CCR to recover Organic Waste, or as otherwise defined in 14 CCR Section 18982(a)(62). 449
<br />1.95 “Residential” means of, from, or pertaining to a Single-Family Premises or Multi-Family Premises 450
<br />including Single-Family homes, apartments, condominiums, townhouse complexes, mobile home 451
<br />parks, and cooperative apartments. 452
