<br />Page 3 of 4 <br /> <br />• ADV (Arroyo del Valle)Trail, Eastern Portion (Nevada Street Improvements – 0.3 miles) – <br />City staff conducted outreach for the proposed Nevada Street improvements project, <br />including the trail between California Street and Bernal Avenue, in summer/fall 2021. The <br />input received was incorporated into the construction drawings, which are currently at a <br />65 percent level of completion. The proposed trail would connect t he trail segment <br />recently completed as part of the Irby Ranch development to the Zone 7 access road <br />along the Arroyo del Valle and will also go across Bernal Avenue to the maintenance <br />road and beyond to Shadow Cliffs. <br />• Railroad Corridor Regional Trail (W. Angela Street to the Firehouse Arts Center – 0.2 <br />miles) – Public outreach for the segment of the regional trail associated with the <br />proposed Lions Wayside and Delucchi Park improvements began in April 2022. A survey <br />regarding the design of the parks and the associated trail is currently open at <br />www.waysidedelucchi.com. <br /> <br />Under Construction <br />• Railroad Corridor Regional Trail (Bernal Avenue to Abbie Street – 0.1 miles) – The city <br />started construction on the section of the railroad corridor between Bernal Avenue and <br />Abbie Street in May 2021. The improvements include a parking lot, a portion of the <br />regional trail, and other landscape and site improvements. Construction is scheduled to <br />be completed summer 2022. <br /> <br />Complete <br />• ADV Trail, Eastern Portion (Irby Ranch segment – 0.4 miles) – On November 16, 2021, <br />City Council accepted the public improvements for the Irby Ranch development, including <br />the trail segment on Nevada Street from First Street to California Street. <br /> <br />Noteworthy Trail Information <br />• Austin Property Trail and Trailhead (0.6 miles) – The trail design was completed in 2021 <br />and construction was awarded in November 2021, but construction was halted before it <br />began due to concerns from the neighbors. Council directed staff to terminate the <br />construction of the trail at the May 17, 2022, City Council meeting. <br />• Garms Staging Area – The Garms Staging Area includes a 75-car parking lot, a loop trail, <br />and a connection to the EBRPD land-banked property. The terms of the memorandum of <br />understanding between the city of Pleasanton and EBRPD for the construction of the <br />Garms Staging Area have expired. EBRPD has informed city staff that their focus is <br />currently on construction of the Tyler Staging Area to the south of Pleasanton and that <br />they will be able to allocate resources to the design of Garms after construction of the <br />Tyler Staging Area is complete. <br />• Hidden Canyon/Lester Property Trailhead - The Hidden Canyon/Lester Property Staging <br />Area includes a 36-car parking lot, vault toilets, and a connection to the EBRPD land- <br />banked property. The developer of the property is currently working with EBRPD and city <br />staff on the design of the trail system, access points, and staging area. This development <br />will require further review and go through a robust planning process, including a review of <br />the proposed trail improvements, prior to receiving approval. <br />• Marilyn Murphy Kane Trail, Northwestern Connection (0.6 miles) – The developer of the <br />proposed Merritt property development submitted preliminary plans for a housing project <br />on the Merritt property that includes a trail connection from Meadowlark Park to Foothill <br />Road and the neighborhood surrounding Foothill High School.
