BACKGROUND
The City entered an agreement with New World System Corporation in 2006 for an
integrated public safety information system (IPSIS) which includes computer aided
dispatch (CAD), records management (RMS), report writing, and other functional
software. Tyler Technologies and New World merged effective November 16, 2015, with
Tyler Technologies as the surviving entity.
DISCUSSION
The City has continued this relationship with Tyler Technologies which has expanded its
system to include additional modules to enhance record keeping, information
management, mobile applications, mandated reporting, public data sharing, and
functional supportive software. Some of the new modules increase transparency by
adding a public web portal for crime and call for service information - allowing
community members to view crime data for their specific neighborhood and by
facilitating the collection of data and officer actions.
This agreement allows the Police Department to continue services, support, and training
for its integrated public safety information system (IPSIS) which will allow for continued
daily operations. To plan for maintenance and services to support future operational
needs, a 10 percent contingency has been included in this contract.
Sub itt d y: Fiscal a iew:
-for M.S.Alle a mond Mahin L
Dir ctor of formation Interim Director of Finance
Tebhnoa av
Attachments:
1.
