5.16.7. Notwithstanding this Section, the Contractor is not required to replace <br /> functional Containers, including Containers purchased prior to January 1, 2022, <br /> that do not comply with the color requirements of Section 5.16.7 prior to the end <br /> of the useful life of those Containers, or prior to January 1, 2036, whichever <br /> comes first." <br /> Section 5.16.7 Container Colors and Labeling was updated to comply with SB 1383 <br /> requirements which stipulate the color of each type of cart, bin, and container as well as <br /> the type of signage along with the content included on the sign. The section was <br /> amended as follows: <br /> "A. Labels. On each Container, Contractor shall label with paint, adhesive <br /> label, or white, hot-stamped lettering, with text and/or graphic images <br /> indicating the type of materials (e.g., Solid Waste, Recyclable Materials, <br /> cardboard, mixed paper, Organic Materials, Construction and Demolition <br /> Debris, wood waste, metal, etc.) accepted and primary materials <br /> prohibited to be placed in the Container for Collection. Labels shall clearly <br /> indicate items that are the primary Prohibited Container Contaminants for <br /> each Container. The labeling shall be positioned on each Container so it is <br /> visible to the Customer at all times. <br /> All Containers shall prominently display the Contractor's name and phone <br /> number in paint or on an adhesive label. <br /> Such labeling of Containers shall be completed within one year of the <br /> Commencement Date. <br /> B. Colors. Contractor shall provide all Customers with Collection Containers <br /> that comply with the Container color requirements specified in this <br /> Section, or as otherwise specified in 14 CCR Section 18982; 14 CCR, <br /> Division 7, Chapter 12, Article 3; or other Applicable Law. Colors shall be <br /> colorfast and resistant to fading as a result of weathering or ultraviolet <br /> degradation. The lids and bodies shall be uniform for each Container type, <br /> as follows- <br /> 1. <br /> ollows:1. Carts. Solid Waste Carts shall have black bodies and black lids; <br /> Recyclable Materials Carts shall have black bodies and blue lids,- <br /> and, <br /> ids;and, Organic Materials Carts shall have black bodies and green <br /> lids. <br /> 2. Bins.
