On-Call Permit Processing Services: 1. All permit processing and counter services shall be performed at the City of Pleasanton Permit Center and under the direction of City staff. 2. Consultant shall assign personnel who are professionally qualified by both experience and training to perform permit processing and counter services.All materials,resources,tools and training shall be supplied by the consultant. Permit Technician and Counter Services Compensation: $75.00 hourly fee for in-house permit processing services. On-Call Field Inspection Services: 1. All field inspection shall be performed through the City Building and Safety Division and under the direction of City staff. 2. Consultant shall assign personnel who are professionally qualified by both experience and certification to perform commercial and/or residential construction inspections. All materials, resources,tools and training shall be supplied by the consultant. Inspection Services Compensation: $120.00 hourly fee for building inspection services covering building, plumbing, mechanical and electrical trades. Miscellaneous Services: 1. Code Enforcement: When requested and under the direction of the Chief Building Official, Consultant shall enforce the City Codes by inspection and when required investigation of complaints regarding sub-standard building conditions and when necessary, prepare cases for citation hearings, criminal proceedings in municipal court, and/or civil abatement proceedings. Fees for such services shall be paid on a time and material basis at the hourly rate as assigned for normal plan review work. 2. Emergency Preparedness: Under the direction of the Chief Building Official or other authorized representative of the City, the Consultant will assist the City of Pleasanton in emergency preparedness, building damage assessment and emergency response. 3. Emergency Operations Assistance: Consultant will maintain current skills in emergency response. Consultant hereby agrees to the following terms and conditions in the event of a local or regional emergency: a. Report into the City of Pleasanton Emergency Operation Center(EOC).Contract personnel will make a reasonable effort to report to the Chief Building Official,Permit Center or the City of Pleasanton EOC as soon as possible following a local or regional emergency.
