<br /> Thank you, first for giving considerable thought to this proposal.
<br /> We want to be good neighbors with the Baptist Church and until now,they have given us no reason
<br /> to be otherwise. I am surprised however, that Bill Bryson did not come by our homes or call us
<br /> personally to discuss this matter as he has with other matters concerning the church and
<br /> neighborhood.Asking to put a school there is too much.
<br /> My husband and I live at 1st Street. We returned to my hometown (after living elsewhere for
<br /> 15 years), 7 years ago.
<br /> We and the Baptist Church "literally" share a common wall between our properties as one wall of
<br /> the church is on the property line and is literally one wall of my backyard-no fence or anything
<br /> between us.That wall includes a window as well and is located in the school classroom area.
<br /> We already "share" space peacefully with the church as the members and staff already park in front
<br /> of our house during the week, twice on Sundays, Wednesday nights, often on other nights for
<br /> meetings. If it became a school site, that means more parking, traffic and congestion 6-7 days/week.
<br /> The above item does NOT yet include,traffic congestion and speed of cars already traveling on Neal
<br /> Street, the five day a week commuter traffic which starts at 3 pm daily(worse since COVID with the
<br /> nonuse of public transportation and the work that is never done on Highway 84),the dairy/park
<br /> traffic and parking, Weekends on Main traffic and downtown parking,farmers market, overflow
<br /> parking for staff and visitors of Generations Healthcare 7 days/week, upcoming Amazon traffic, new
<br /> dense housing on Stanley, and the proposal of using the PUSD offices as more high density housing.
<br /> We are not complaining about the things that we "knew" when moving on First Street.
<br /> Many of these things bring joy to MANY as well as ourselves.
<br /> We believe that the whole picture needs to be seen when determining the impact on an already
<br /> very busy neighborhood especially by those that do not live here or understand.
<br /> It is just not the spot for a school and all that entails.

<br /> would violate the conditions of the CUP by parking in the neighborhood
<br /> If the church goes beyond the maximum number of students and parents,volunteers and staff would park in the shrinking spots available Again,we
<br /> neighbors would have to be the monitors for compliance
<br /> The church has been a good neighbor but we think the school goes too far in asking the neighborhood to put up with more traffic and more of everything
<br /> this proposal would bring
