DUST CONTROL PLAN: The applicant shall submit a written dust control plan <br />or procedure to the Engineering Department subject to the review and approval <br />of the Director of Engineering/City Engineer. EXISTING PAVEMENT FRONTING THE DEVELOPMENT: The applicant’s <br />California licensed civil engineer shall examine the structural section of the <br />existing street(s) fronting the development and submit a summary with the first <br />submittal of the improvement plans. The summary shall include the civil <br />engineer’s findings and an opinion of the sufficiency of the existing pavement to <br />support the post-project traffic demand. If the opinion concludes the existing <br />pavement is insufficient to support the post-project traffic demand, the civil <br />engineer shall submit a recommendation in the summary to reconstruct or <br />rehabilitate the existing pavement. The recommendation shall be subject to the <br />review and approval of the Director of Engineering/City Engineer. If the opinion <br />concludes the existing pavement is sufficient, the applicant shall apply a slurry <br />seal treatment on Alisal Street and Westbridge Lane after the completion of <br />utility undergrounding and frontage improvements and prior to the City Council’s <br />acceptance of public improvements. CURB AND GUTTER: The applicant shall construct vertical Portland cement <br />concrete (PCC) curb and gutter on proposed public streets within this <br />development in compliance with the City Standard Specifications and Details in <br />effect at the time of the issuance of permits, unless otherwise approved by the <br />Director of Engineering/City Engineer. (Address this condition prior to <br />improvement plan approval) <br /> <br />66. RETAINING WALLS: All retaining walls along the street shall be located behind <br />the public service easement (PSE), unless otherwise approved by the Director <br />of Engineering/City Engineer. All retaining walls with a minimum height of 4 feet, <br />measured from the bottom of the footing to the finished grade at the top of the <br />wall, and all retaining walls with a surcharge shall be designed by a California <br />licensed civil or structural engineer.
