Not only will that exacerbate traffic issues on roads and at intersections that are well beyond the city's traffic maximums, but also increases poor air quality impacting current residents and businesses. Other key issues are: • Need to locate dense housing near BART and freeways as desired by potential residents • Threats to existing, well-established businesses and residents fearing critical massing impacts • Potential loss of tax revenues • Unnecessary overcrowding in popular Mission and Valley Plazas is not logical planning The Planning Commission must address these growth threats to crowded areas in our city. Adding density to any area is difficult but when the criteria for placement does more harm than good, it's time for residents to weigh in.
