NOVEMBER 2021 | 9 Task 4 Assumptions: · City will collect water samples for PFAS media testing. Carollo will provide sample collection containers and freight services for transporting samples to the lab. Task 5.0 – PFAS Treatment Vessel Procurement The City intends to pre-purchase PFAS treatment vessels during final design, separate from the main construction contract, due to their long lead-time. The PFAS vessel pre-purchase will begin between the 50 percent and 95 percent submittals depending on the project schedule, with the goal of procuring the vessels for on-time delivery during construction. The City and Carollo will determine when to start the prepurchase during. Task 5.1 – PFAS Treatment Vessel Procurement Contract Documents Carollo will prepare pre-purchase contract documents including all front-end specifications, technical specifications, and supporting drawings to competitively bid the PFAS treatment vessels and appurtenant equipment/piping for pre-purchase by the City. Carollo will review the proposals and equipment submittals received from equipment vendors to confirm that minimum qualifications and technical specifications are met. Carollo will recommend the lowest-cost bid that meets the requirements of the contract for award. Task 5.2 – PFAS Treatment Vessel Submittal Review Carollo will review the PFAS treatment equipment submittal from the equipment manufacturer. Task 5 Deliverables: · Draft and Final PFAS vessel procurement contract documents. · PFAS treatment vessel submittal review comments. Task 5 Assumptions: · City will review procurement specifications for compliance and Carollo will incorporate comments into the final package. Task 6.0 – Wells 9 and 10 Casing Design, Bidding Support, Engineering Services During Construction (ESDC), and Testing This task will be led by LSCE and includes final design and construction support for the Wells 9 and 10 casings. The casings will be designed and constructed during final design, separate from the main construction contract, to allow the wells to be equipped based on testing data. Task 6.1 – Well 9 Test Well LSCE will install a test well at Well 9 within Amador Community Park. The detailed scope of work for this task is included in Attachment E Task 6.1. Task 6.2 – Wells 9 and 10 Casing Construction Contract Document Preparation LSCE will prepare 95 percent, 100 percent, and bid-set construction documents for the new Wells 9 and 10 casings. The detailed scope of work for this task is included in Attachment E Task 6.2.
