NOVEMBER 2021 | 5
requirements; the meeting discussion will be summarized in meeting minutes. Carollo will provide two to
three conceptual drawings and renderings for City review.
Siegfried will develop the landscaping design for Well 9 (consistent with Amador Community Park) and
provide visual screening for new facilities at the CTF. This task includes attending a pre-design coordination
meeting to discuss landscaping requirements, assisting in the development of renderings, and developing 50
percent, 95 percent, 100 percent, and bid landscape design drawings and specifications.
Task 2.7.b – Building Department Permit Application
The Building Department permit review application will be submitted at 95 percent design for the new Well 9
building, new Well 8 electrical building, CTF structure, and electrical service upgrades at all three well
facilities. Carollo will provide technical support for the permit and incorporate building department review
comments.
Task 2.7.c – Chemical Facility Design Coordination with Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department
Carollo will attend two meetings with the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department at the 50 percent and
95 percent design submittals to review the OSC chemical facility design. Carollo will incorporate the Fire
Department’s review comments into the design.
Task 2.7.d – Municipal Regional Stormwater Permit
Carollo will prepare the Municipal Regional Stormwater Permit (MRP) C.3 and C.6 required packages for City
engineering department review and incorporate requirements into the final design. Carollo will also assist in
preparing maintenance plans.
Task 2.7.e – Constructability Review Coordination
The City will hire a third-party consultant to perform a constructability review of the 95 percent design.
Carollo will provide technical information, attend the constructability recommendations workshop led by the
third-party consultant, and incorporate comments into final design.
Task 2.8 – Hydraulic Surge Analysis
Carollo will perform a hydraulic surge analysis of project facilities during final design. The analysis will
consider each well site, the PFAS treatment system, and impacts to the City’s existing potable distribution
system. The surge analysis will consider the surge developed by power failure at each well pump, pump start,
valve closures, and PFAS treatment system operation that may cause a hydraulic transient surge condition.
The surge analysis will be summarized in a technical memorandum (TM) and will provide recommendations
for operation of the system, surge control facilities at each well site, opening/closing speed for the pump
control valve, and surge control facilities within the City’s distribution system (if necessary).
Task 2.9 – Corrosion Protection Evaluation and Design
JDH Corrosion (JDH) will lead the corrosion protection evaluation and final design task. The corrosion
protection evaluation and design scope of work is defined in Attachment A.
Task 2 Deliverables:
· Draft and final surge analysis TM.
