ATTACHMENT <br />EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT <br />INTERIM CITY MANAGER <br />THIS EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT is made on November 16, 2021, between the City <br />of Pleasanton ("City") and Brian Dolan ("Dolan") concerning the City's employment of Dolan <br />as the City's Interim City Manager. <br />RECITALS <br />A. Dolan has education, training, and experience in local government management. <br />B. City desires to employ Dolan as the City's Interim City Manager. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants and conditions in this <br />Agreement, City and Dolan agree as follows: <br />1. Employment. City shall employ Dolan as the Interim City Manager of the City of <br />Pleasanton as provided in this Contract, effective December 1, 2021. <br />2. Duties. Dolan shall perform the duties of the City Manager of the City of <br />Pleasanton, including administering the day-to-day affairs of the City, and shall perform such <br />other functions as are authorized by the City Council and by ordinance. <br />3. Compensation. The annual salary for Dolan shall be $254,095, effective <br />December 1, 2021. Dolan shall also be provided an annual contribution of 4.5% of salary into <br />his deferred compensation account. If Dolan remains Interim City Manager beyond July 1, <br />2022, the City Council and Dolan shall meet to discuss a possible compensation adjustment. <br />4. Benefits. Except as provided in this Contract, City shall provide the same <br />benefits (e.g., medical, retirement medical insurance, dental, leave, holidays etc.) to Dolan as <br />City provides to other management employees as set forth in the City's <br />Management/Confidential Employee Performance Compensation Plan 2018 (Management <br />Compensation Plan) as the Management Compensation Plan may be revised from time to time. <br />5. Vacation Leave. Dolan shall accrue vacation leave at the rate of twenty-five (25) <br />days annually. <br />6. Administrative Leave. Dolan shall be credited with ten (10) days of <br />administrative leave annually, to be administered as provided in the Management Compensation <br />Plan. <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />
