April 1, 2021
Dear Honorable Planning Commissioners,
I am writing today to support the construction of the Resurrection Greek Orthodox
Church (RGOC) and their proposal to move to Pleasanton, which is coming before
the commission very shortly.
I believe your approval of the RGOC would be an excellent decision, not only for the
Greek community but also for Pleasanton. RGOC are known for the good work they
do in conjunction the Alameda County Community Food Bank and they plan to
continue this service to Pleasanton residents by continuing their twice monthly food
pantry for those in Pleasanton dealing with food needs.
I have seen renderings of the proposed structure, which are quite beautiful, and I
believe the Dublin Canyon location is an ideal one for both Pleasanton and the
RGOC.
Having resided in Pleasanton for the past 54 years, I have been extremely fortunately,
as a Catholic, to have had two facilities approved for construction for our use, I think
the RGOC deserves at least one. Therefore, I strongly urge your approval and "Thank
You" for your consideration of this request. I hope that the Planning Commission
will lend their support this wonderful project.
Sincerely,
Joe Crosslin
