Jennifer Hagen
From:
. Tuesday, March 30, 2021 10:29 AM
To: Stefanie Ananthan
Subject: Fwd: Greek church issue
Dear Planning Commission Members,
Thank you for the opportunity to comment on this interesting proposal for a Greek Church to serve
the Ti -Valley.
I have read the prospectus for the proposal and find it to be a thoughtful and interesting one that will
certainly be welcomed by the community members of this city. The renderings alone are spectacular.
I am aware of the Greek community in the Tri -Valley. Many wonderful citizens. I personally know
quite a few and am proud to have the opportunity to speak on their proposal. The location alone
deserves support.
I have had the opportunity and pleasure to be a resident here in Pleasanton since 1954 when the
population was less than 3,000. 1 am well aware of the workings of a commission such as yours,
having served on the Pleasanton City Council in 1974-78 and the privilege of service as Mayor 1976-
78. In addition I have a long record of community participation serving on Boards and Commissions.
have been blessed to be a resident during all this time. I am very proud that during all these years to
have had the additional pleasure of serving as President & Chairman of the Board of the local First
National Bank of Pleasanton on Main Street till my retirement. So am familiar with wide spread issues
such as this from several different perspectives.
I urge you to take advantage of the opportunity to improve this wonderful city by encouraging all the
blessings that a project such as this has to offer.
Thank you for allowing me to address you and express my encouragement for this project.
Respectfully,
Bob Philcox
"leasManton,"a4566
Click here to report this email as spam.
