Please see Attachment 3 for Summer Camp Program Schedule.
PARKING
SMA is a tenant in the Crossroads Shopping Center Gateway Square in Hacienda.
The shopping center has a parking ratio of one parking space for each 200 square
feet of building's gross floor area. With this parking ratio and based on the
approximately 2,828-square-foot tenant space, SPM is allocated 14 parking spaces.
1. Heritage School Parking Demand
The majority of Heritage School Program students are transported from schools
by carpools, organized by parents. There would be a total of 6 carpool vehicles,
each carrying 6 students. The same groups of students would carpool back home
at the end of heritage school program. The remaining 11 students would arrive
in 4 vehicles.
2. Music School Parking Demand
No carpool arrangements for the music programs as the programs start at 7:30
p.m. and students would be transported by parents/guardians.
3. Summer Camp Parking Demand
The summer camp is choir and musical camp. Most of the students are from the
music school. They will use carpool vehicles to drop off kids.
To ensure minimal parking impact during drop-off/pick-up times,Table below
shows the parking demand for each program, which does not exceed the number of
parking spaces allotted to SMA. In addition, SMA has projected student and staff
flows for weekdays and weekend. Details are in Attachment 4.
Programs Operation Time Parking
Need
Music Monday-Friday 7:30 p.m.-10:OOp.m. (Year-round) 14 spaces
School Saturday 8:30a.m.-10:OOp.m.
Heritage Monday-Friday (School Year Only) 14 spaces
School 2:00p.m.-6:30p.m.
Summer Monday-Friday (Summer Only) 10 spaces
Program 9:OOa.m.-4:OOp.m.
SMA conducted parking counts for the shopping center from 1/13/2020 to
1/17/2020 between 2:00p.m. and 7:30p.m. from Monday to Friday. Please see
Attachment 5 for counts related to number of parking spaces occupied and number
of parking spaces available. The counts showed there are ample available parking
spaces in the shopping center.
4
noon session: 1:00p.m.-4:00p.m.
Saturday and Sunday: Closed
Capacity: 46 students
4 teachers
3
with the Planning Division, no further action will be needed.
