Collaborators <br />• City Staff and Consultants/Contractors: Negotiate amendment to Franchise <br />Agreement in the areas of public education and outreach. Contract with a <br />communication/public education firm to produce collateral materials. <br />• StopWaste: Produce templates for Member Agencies and take the lead on food <br />recovery education. <br />• County Environmental Health Department: Distribute educational materials <br />during inspections. <br />• PGS: Produce and distribute education material as required in the Agreement. <br />• Go Green Initiative: Facilitate student engagement in projects to educate the <br />community on SB 1383. <br />4. Schedule <br />It is recommended that a pre-implementation campaign be planned and conducted <br />from June to December of 2021, with ongoing education activities commencing 2022, <br />and annually thereafter. <br />F. Reporting and Recordkeeping <br />1. Requirements <br />SB 1383 contains three primary reporting requirements for jurisdictions: an initial <br />jurisdiction compliance report, annual report, and ongoing maintenance of a <br />centralized implementation record.
