ATTACHMENT 1 <br /> SECOND AMENDMENT TO MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING <br /> This Second Amendment to Memorandum of Understanding ("First Amendment") is <br /> made by the County of Alameda ("County") and City of Pleasanton ("City") with respect to <br /> the First Amendment entered by them on January TBD, 2021 (referred to herein as the <br /> "MOU") pursuant to which City provides COVID-19 Testing Services to County. <br /> County and City agree as follows: <br /> 1. For valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which are hereby <br /> acknowledged, County and City agree to amend the MOU in the following respects: <br /> 2. Except as otherwise stated in this Second Amendment, the terms and provisions of <br /> this Second Amendment will be effective as of the date this Second Amendment is <br /> executed by the County ("Effective Date"). <br /> 3. Item 2 of the County's Duties, Expectations, and Responsibilities (Page 2) of the <br /> MOU has been amended as follows: <br /> The COUNTY will reimburse the CITY under this MOU for net costs not to exceed <br /> $4,063,459 associated with: <br /> A. COVID-19 specimen collection kits to collect samples for testing for SARS- <br /> CoV-2; <br /> B. laboratory processing through public, private or state-allocated lab <br /> processing partners; <br /> C. personnel costs associated with collecting samples, and <br /> D. personal protective equipment (PPE), including N95 or higher-level respirator <br /> (or facemask if respirator is not available), eye protection, gloves and gown, <br /> for providers collecting specimens or within 6 feet of patients to maintain <br /> proper infection control, as defined under this MOU; <br /> Page 1 of 3 <br />
