9 <br /> THE CITY OF <br /> CCITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> LAXT6C <br /> February 2, 2021 <br /> Library and Recreation <br /> TITLE: APPROVE A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH RRM <br /> DESIGN GROUP IN THE AMOUNT OF $105,335 TO PREPARE THE ALL- <br /> ABILITIES PLAYGROUND MASTER PLAN, CIP PROJECT NO. 20773 <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The proposed professional services agreement with RRM Design Group is to prepare <br /> the City of Pleasanton All-Abilities Playground Master Plan as identified in the Capital <br /> Improvement Program (CIP) for fiscal year 2019-2021. The Master Plan will focus on the <br /> necessary components for a successful all-abilities playground at Ken Mercer Sports <br /> Park. Staff recommends that City Council award the contract for a total of $105,335 to <br /> RRM Design Group. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> 1 . Approve the professional services agreement with RRM Design Group in the amount <br /> of $105,335 for the preparation of the City of Pleasanton All-Abilities Playground <br /> Master Plan. <br /> 2. Authorize the City Manager to execute a contract amendment for up to $10,000 <br /> (approximately 10% of the contract) for additional design services if necessary. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> Funding for the All-Abilities Playground Master Plan, CIP No. 20773, totals $400,000. <br /> Anticipated expenditures for the All-Abilities Playground Master Plan totals $115,500 <br /> (project advertisement, the contract amount, and a 10% contingency for additional <br /> design services), leaving a balance of $284,500 for the next phase of design services <br /> as outlined in Attachment 1. <br />
