91-3 PERMITS <br /> a o PERMITS REQUIRED. No electric equipment regulatec <br /> by this Ordinance shall be installed within or <br /> on any building, structure or premises without <br /> first securing a permit therefor from the <br /> Director of Public Works. <br /> A separate permit shall be obtained for each <br /> building or structure. <br /> <br />b. TO WHOM PERMITS MAY BE ISSUED. No permit shall <br /> be issued to any person to do, or cause to be <br /> done, any work regulated by this Ordinance except <br /> to a person holding a valid, unexpired, and un- <br /> revoked Electrical Contractor~s License issued <br /> by the Contractor's State License Board of the <br /> State of California except when and as otherwise <br /> hereinafter provided in this section. <br /> This Ordinance shall exempt from licensing <br /> any work that qualifies for the exemptions pro- <br /> vided in Sections 7040, 7042, 7043, 7045,7047, <br /> 7051, 7052 and 7053, Article 3, Chapter 9 of <br /> Division 3 of the Business and Professions Code <br /> of the State of California. <br /> Any permit required by this Ordinance may <br /> be issued to any person to do any work regulated <br /> by this Ordinance in a single family dwelling <br /> used exclusively for living purposes, including <br /> the usual accessory buildings and quarters in <br /> connection with such buildings in the event that <br /> the same are occupied by or designed to be <br /> occupied by said owner; provided that said owner <br /> shall perform, oversee or supervise all work in <br /> connection therewith. <br /> <br /> c. APPLICATION FOR PERMIT. Every application for a <br /> permit shall be ma. de on fDrms furnished by the <br /> Director of Public Works. Every application <br /> shall provide for the address, the use occupancy <br /> or purpose of the building, or premises where <br /> the proposed work is to be done, the owner ' s <br /> name, and the electrical contractor 's name and <br /> address, a co'mplete description of the proposed <br /> work and such other additional information as <br /> the Director of Public Works 'may consider neces- <br /> sary, If it appears, upon examination and in- <br /> vestigation by the Director of Public Works that <br /> the proposed work will conform to the provision <br /> of this Ordinance, a permit shall then be issued <br /> to the applicant, upon payment of the fees <br /> provided for. <br /> <br />d. MAINTENANCE ELECTRICIANS. In lieu of an indivi- <br /> dual permit for each installation or alteration, <br /> an annual permit may, upon application therefor, <br /> be issued to any person, firm, or corporation <br /> regularly employing one or 'more electricians for <br /> <br /> <br />
