b. MOVED BUILDINGS. All electrical work existing <br /> in buildings moved into or within the incorpor- <br /> ated area of the City after the effective date <br /> of this Ordinance shall comply with the require- <br /> ments of this Ordinance. <br /> <br />c. EXISTING CONSTRUCTION. Except for existing <br /> electrical work in buildings moved into or within <br /> the City, nothing contained in this Ordinance <br /> shall be construed to require any construction <br /> or work regulated by this Ordinance to be <br /> altered, changed, reconstructed, removed or <br /> demolished if such construction or work was <br /> installed prior to the effective date of this <br /> Ordinance and in accordance with any laws or <br /> regulations in effect at the time of its instal- <br /> lation, except when any such construction or <br /> work regulated by this Ordinance is dangerous, <br /> unsafe or a 'menace to life, health or property <br /> in the judgment of the Director of Public Works. <br /> <br />9 1- 2 ENFORCEMENT <br />a. RIGHT OF ENTRY. Upon presentation of proper <br /> credentials, the Director of Public Works may <br /> enter any building or structure or premises in <br /> order to perform any duty imposed by this <br /> Ordinance. <br /> <br />b. NOTICE TO STOP WORKQ Whenever any work is being <br /> done contrary to any law or ordinance enforced <br /> by the Director of Public Works he shall issue <br /> a notice to the responsible person to stop work <br /> on that portion of the work on which the viola- <br /> tion has occurred. The notice shall state the <br /> nature of the violation and no work shall be <br /> done on that portion until the violation has <br /> been rectified and approval obtained from the <br /> Director of Public Works. <br /> <br />c. RIGHT TO DISCONNECT. The Director of Public <br /> Works is hereby authorized to disconnect or ordex <br /> discontinuance of electric service to any <br /> electric wiring devices, appliances or equipment <br /> found to be in violation of this Ordinance under <br /> any of the following conditions: <br /> 1. Failure of the owner or his agent to <br /> secure the required electrical permit. <br /> 2. Hazardous electrical work found to be <br /> dangerous to life or property due to <br /> defective wiring, devices, appliances or <br /> equipment. <br /> 3. Electrical work connected to service <br /> without the approval of the Director of <br /> Public Works. Any order issued pursuant <br /> <br /> <br />
