IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO, 477 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE NATIONAL ELECTRICAL <br /> CODE 1965 AND THE MODEL ELECTRICAL CODE 1966 EDITION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, notice has been duly given and published, and <br />hearings held pursuant to the provisions of Section 50022.1, <br />Government Code of the State of California, and no sufficient <br />protest having been ~made, and the best interest of the City of <br />Pleasanton appearing to be served by adoption of this National <br />Electrical Code and Model Electrical Code; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1: ADOPTION OF ELECTRICAL CODES. <br /> <br /> There are hereby adopted by the City of Pleasanton those <br />certain codes known as the National Electrical Code and Model <br />Electrical Code, more particularly described below, except such <br />portions are are hereinafter amended, modified or deleted, and <br />the same is hereby adopted and incorporated as fully as if set <br />out at length herein, and the same shall become in full force and <br />effect at the time this Ordinance becomes effective. <br /> <br /> Said Electrical Codes are the National Electrical Code <br />1965, (NFPA No. 70, ASA C1-1965) published by the National Fire <br />Protection Association, and the Model Electrical Code 1966 Edition, <br />published by the Alameda County Electrical Contractors, three <br />certified copies of each of which are on file with the City Clerk <br />of the City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br />SECTION 2: AMENDMENTS~ MODIFICATIONS~ ADDITIONS TO AND DELETIONS <br /> FROM THE ADOPTED CODES. <br /> <br /> The Adopted Codes are hereby changed in the following <br />respects. <br /> <br /> a. Amendments or Modifications. <br /> Where any conflict occurs between the National <br /> Electrical Code, the Model Electrical Code and this <br /> Ordinance, this Ordinance shall take precedence <br /> over both adopted codes,and the Model Electrical <br /> Code shall take precedence over the National <br /> Electrical Code. <br /> <br /> b. Additions. <br /> Article 91 - Administrative Regulations is hereby <br /> added to the Code as follows: <br /> <br /> <br />
