IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA ORDINANCE NO, 477 AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE 1965 AND THE MODEL ELECTRICAL CODE 1966 EDITION WHEREAS, notice has been duly given and published, and hearings held pursuant to the provisions of Section 50022.1, Government Code of the State of California, and no sufficient protest having been ~made, and the best interest of the City of Pleasanton appearing to be served by adoption of this National Electrical Code and Model Electrical Code; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: ADOPTION OF ELECTRICAL CODES. There are hereby adopted by the City of Pleasanton those certain codes known as the National Electrical Code and Model Electrical Code, more particularly described below, except such portions are are hereinafter amended, modified or deleted, and the same is hereby adopted and incorporated as fully as if set out at length herein, and the same shall become in full force and effect at the time this Ordinance becomes effective. Said Electrical Codes are the National Electrical Code 1965, (NFPA No. 70, ASA C1-1965) published by the National Fire Protection Association, and the Model Electrical Code 1966 Edition, published by the Alameda County Electrical Contractors, three certified copies of each of which are on file with the City Clerk of the City of Pleasanton. SECTION 2: AMENDMENTS~ MODIFICATIONS~ ADDITIONS TO AND DELETIONS FROM THE ADOPTED CODES. The Adopted Codes are hereby changed in the following respects. a. Amendments or Modifications. Where any conflict occurs between the National Electrical Code, the Model Electrical Code and this Ordinance, this Ordinance shall take precedence over both adopted codes,and the Model Electrical Code shall take precedence over the National Electrical Code. b. Additions. Article 91 - Administrative Regulations is hereby added to the Code as follows:
