<br /> The applicant would use approximately 2,682 square feet of the landscaped area in the front
<br /> (north side) and west side of the building as a completely fenced-in playground for the
<br /> proposed preschool, as noted in Figures 2 and 3. Outdoor play times are scheduled by age
<br /> groups for 20-minutes at a time in the morning and afternoon. Outdoor playtime would be from
<br /> 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and there would be no more than 20 students in the playground area at one
<br /> time.
<br /> Existing landscaping would be slightly modified to accommodate the improvements.
<br /> Specifically, existing groundcover and shrubs adjacent to the building would be removed and
<br /> replaced with lawn. Shrubs would be relocated to near the front entrance. However, all existing
<br /> trees would remain on site. A 6-foot-tall wrought iron fence would be installed to enclose and
<br /> connect the play area to the building. The playground area would be accessible by doors from
<br /> the building and would also have two exterior gates locked at all times but would feature
<br /> panic-hardware to allow egress in the event of an emergency. To provide additional safety of
<br /> the students, bollards would be installed between the outdoor playground fence and adjacent
<br /> parking area.

<br />various church-sponsored programs on Saturday, and
<br /> weekday bible studies start in the evening at 8 p.m. The church also operates a one-week
<br /> Vacation Bible School (VBS) in July for a maximum of 100 students.
