• Have a household income not exceeding 80% Area Median Income (AMI) <br /> established for Alameda County, adjusted for household size (see below), prior <br /> to the countywide Shelter In Place order issued on March 16, 2020 ("pre-COVID <br /> period"); <br /> • Be in good standing with payment and terms of their lease prior to the <br /> countywide Shelter In Place order issued on March 16, 2020, as verified by <br /> landlord; and <br /> • Show documentation of loss of income of at least 20 percent due to COVID-19 <br /> as a result of employment and/or school/childcare closures and/or inability to <br /> work due to COVID-19 illness or caring for a family member infected by the <br /> disease. This is further discussed below. <br /> 2020 Maximum Income Limits <br /> Households 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 <br /> person person person person person person person person <br /> 80%AMI $73,100 $83,550 $94,000 $104,400 $112,800 $121,150 $129,500 $137,850 <br /> Applicants will be required to submit an application electronically and remit the following <br /> documentation to support that they meet the program eligibility criteria including: <br /> 1) Current Residential Lease Agreement in Pleasanton; <br /> 2) Verification of household income of 80% AMI or below pre-COVID period of <br /> January 1, 2020 through March 15, 2020 and during Shelter in Place order <br /> period beginning March 16, 2020, specifically January through March 2020 <br /> paystubs and the last three months of paystubs at the time of application; <br /> 3) Landlord verification that tenant's rent was current prior to the March 16th <br /> Shelter in Place order issued countywide; and <br /> 4) Verification of COVID-19 financial impact that has reduced a household income <br /> by at least 20 percent, including but not limited to: <br /> o Termination Notice from employer <br /> o Unemployment Award letter <br /> o Payroll check or Pay stubs reflecting reduction in salary <br /> o Bank Statements <br /> Ineligible Applicants <br /> Applicants would be ineligible to participate in the program if: <br /> • They are immediate relatives, through blood or marriage (i.e. child, parent, sister, <br /> brother, grandparent, aunt, uncle) of the their landlord. <br /> • They are renting a room in a single-family/townhome residence (i.e. subletting <br /> situation), and there is no valid Residential Lease. <br /> • Applicants already participating in the City's Rapid Re-Housing program. <br /> Program Assistance <br /> The average rent in Pleasanton is $2,524 as of March 2020, per CoStar Research.
