FINANCIAL STATEMENT As summarized in Table 1, if approved as recommended, the City Council would allocate: $342,214 in federal CDBG funds; $195,957 in federal HOME funds; $264,196 in City LIHF funds; and $387,011 from the City's General Fund. The total funding for both the HHSG and the CG programs is $1,189,378 which has been included in the proposed FY 2020/21 budget. The City's FY 2020/21 HHSG program will provide funding during the period of July 1, 2020, through June 30, 2021, i.e., the FY 2020 grant funding cycle. HHSG applications for funding were solicited from December 20, 2019 through January 27, 2020. Thirty (30) applications were received with a total funding request of $2,021,007 (or $2,044,191 including the required Section 108 loan payment for FY 2020/21). The Human Services Commission reviewed and provided recommendations for programs funded through CDBG and from the General Fund for human services. The Housing Commission reviewed applications which were housing-related and were eligible for funding from the City's LIHF and federal HOME funds. DISCUSSION Table 2 summarizes the composite level of funding available for the FY 2020 HHSG program. The FY 2018 and FY 2019 funding levels are listed for comparative purposes. Page 2 of 12
