Regional and Other External Coordination
• All typical regional interagency meetings have been postponed; however, staff has
been in close coordination with the Pleasanton Unified School District, Stanford
Health Care-Valley Care, Alameda County Office of Emergency Services,
Alameda County Public Health Department, Alameda County City Managers
Association, Alameda County Police Chiefs, Alameda County Fire Chiefs, and
League of California Cities
• We are also in close communication with colleagues in Livermore, Dublin, and
other municipalities, and many of our non-profit service providers
• We have been tracking news releases and guidance from both the state and
federal government
Community Engagement
• The City has established a COVID-19 landing page on the City's website to offer
accurate information and access to resources for the community. The webpage
provides a copy of the ACPHD Shelter in Place Order and accompanying FAQs, a
description of City services currently available, information on business support
opportunities, a link to the Pleasanton Unified School district webpage on COVID-
19, along with general COVID-19 materials
• Regular press releases and messages across the City's social media platforms
are being distributed
• Many of the incoming phone messages are from residents seeking direction and
advice on specific aspects of the shelter in place order, particularly related to
`essential businesses'
• Calls to PD dispatch are leveling off, with no reported uptick in crimes
• For businesses, our Economic Development staff are collaborating with the
Chamber, Hacienda, PDA and Visit Tri-Valley to push out information and
resources (including access to financial assistance); they're also using our social
platforms for messaging to encourage support for local essential businesses that
are still operating (e.g., restaurants offering delivery and pick-up)
City Employees
• City staff continues to offer essential services with a limited group at the Civic
Center complex and Operations Services Center, as well as in the field as
necessary.
• The city and assistant city managers, department heads and key management
staff are working Monday-Friday from 8 am to 5 pm at their respective office
locations. The remainder of City staff are working remotely (sheltering in place) to
support essential services, respond to community phone calls and email inquiries,
and perform routine work as feasible.
• All employees are following protocols for personal and office hygiene, hand
washing, and social distancing.
