THE CITY OF
East Pleasanton Specific Plan
Public Comments FLfASANTONC
From:Ss97droptp
Sent: Monday, December 02, 2019 8:52 PM
To: Mayor and City Council <citvcouncil@citvofpleasantonca.gov>
Subject: Put any plan for EP housing up for a vote of the citizens
Pleasanton City Council Members.
Pleasanton was forced by the state to allow many more homes to be built than was planned for and voter
approved back back in the 80's. The state mandate has now opened the flood gates for uncontrolled
additional housing in Pleasanton. The problem is that the infrastructure of Pleasanton, especially the lack
of schools, road improvements and iffy water availability, make a large housing development on the east
side a tremendous burden on the citizens of Pleasanton.
Preferably, just shut this down until additional schools, better traffic control and a constantly reliable
source of untainted water is made available. If you won't shut it down, then let the citizens of Pleasanton
regain control of their destiny and place any large housing development plan up for a vote of the
citizens.
Regards,
Wayne and Cindy Myers
Provided to City Council for the February 18, 2020, Meeting 31
