3. Public comment from the audience regarding items not listed on the <br /> agenda <br /> Gary Sears, Pleasanton Resident— shared photo of the Alamo Canal Trail that shows a <br /> four-inch crevice in the trail that caused him to fall while riding his bicycle. He asked that <br /> the City make improvements to increase safety of the trail. He also noted that the <br /> eastern side of the Arroyo Mocho trail (near the Livermore Outlets) is loose gravel and <br /> requested it be paved. <br /> MATTERS BEFORE THE COMMITTEE <br /> 4. Review and provide feedback on the proposed B/BB 20 percent funding <br /> protects <br /> Mr. Nelson provided a brief explanation of the following proposed projects to received <br /> measure B/BB funding: <br /> 1. Valley Avenue at Hansen Drive: potential improvements consist of bulb-outs to <br /> shorten pedestrian crossing. <br /> 2. Iron Horse Trail Wayfinding: signing and striping improvements at the major <br /> intersection crossings of the Iron Horse Trail. <br /> 3. Stoneridge Drive Buffered Bike Lanes: between Santa Rita Road and Trevor <br /> Parkway. <br /> 4. Bernal Avenue at Hearst and Bernal at Kottinger Drive: modified lane and bike <br /> configuration. <br /> Mr. Nelson asked the committee if the committee had any feedback or questions. <br /> Chairperson Bowers expressed concern with removing right-turning lanes in projects 1 <br /> and 4. <br /> Mr. Nelson explained that the final designs will be brought to the BPTC for comments <br /> when that time comes. <br /> Mr. Flynn commented on the budget and asked if$250,000 would cover all four <br /> projects. <br /> Mr. Tassano responded that they should be completed within budget and estimates the <br /> intersection/crosswalk improvements will cost approximately $100,000. <br /> Todd Nelson noted that some of the proposed projects were not found in the Bicycle <br /> and Pedestrian Master Plan (BPMP).
