The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Committee Members Present: Chairperson Bryan Bowers, John Houston, Mark <br /> Flynn, Todd Nelson, Steve Nigro, Sharon Piekarski <br /> and Tejas Prakash. <br /> Committee Members Absent: Vice-Chairperson Herb Ritter, David Fisch and Dan <br /> Schulenberg. <br /> Staff Present: Mike Tassano, City Traffic Engineer; Matt Nelson, <br /> Associate Traffic Engineer; Lea Frizzell, Recording <br /> Secretary. <br /> AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> None. <br /> MINUTES <br /> 1. Approve regular meeting minutes of September 23, 2019 <br /> Minutes approval continued to the next scheduled BPTC meeting. <br /> MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> 2. Introductions/Awards/Recognitions/Presentations <br /> Mr. Nelson introduced new BPTC members — Mark Flynn, John Houston, Steve Nigro, <br /> Tejas Prakash (youth) and Ashwin Sriram (youth alternate). <br /> Bicycle, Pedestrian & Trails Committee Minutes October 28, 2019 <br /> Page 1 of 3 <br />ski agreed with Mr. McGinnis and stated she heavily supports alternative 2B. <br /> Mr. Fisch stated the north side needs to be as safe as possible and sees the benefits of <br /> having two-way on the south. However, he does not want to compromise safety on the <br /> northside, and feels it needs to be a protected bikeway as well. <br /> Ms. Allen suggested starting with a buffered bikeway but if it will take too long to <br /> implement, she would like to see lower cost improvements made first.
